Wu Jing Tong (2013) stated, the emergence of colour film animation has demonstrates the development and advent of digital technologies. This resulted in the monochromatic film animation gradually withdraw from mainstream field animation as the multi colour visual style is more attracts the audience. However, the monochromatic film animation did not eliminate as there are still have artists and directors like to use monochromatic colour to express the art of animation (Wu JIng Tong, 2013).

Through observation researcher, Upin & Ipin (2007), BoBoiBoy (2011) and SeeFood (2012), film animations of Malaysia for instant are mostly presented in colour visual style. Thence, the researcher has seen the potential the film animation Malaysia represent in monochromatic visual style.

Chapter 2: Literature Review

Monochromatic is a verb origin from Greek, monochrōmatos. Broken into Greek roots, mono means alone, single, sole, only, chromatic (khroma) means colour. Monochromatic is defined as having one colour and represented by different hues and tints.
